"Ditty" went to her first show in November 2008, when she was only 5 1/2 months old.  She won the weanling class and the Junior Championship, then beat the Supreme Champion of the show in the Mare AOTH! Because she was under two, she was not eligible for the AOTH Championship nor the Supreme Championship; however, she was the highest-scoring Half-Arabian of the show.  She was trained/prepped for the show by teenagers.  Both photos below are from the November show.

Right after the November show, Ditty moved to Michigan to "study" under the expertise of Al Gruppen to prepare for the 2009 Scottsdale show where she was Top Ten Half-Arabian Mare in both Open and in AAOTH. Since then, she has enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters at home. We are proud to report that she earned enough points during her brief show career to be named USEF Horse-of-the-Year Regional Reserve Champion Half-Arabian in Halter, and also Top Five (4th) Nationally!
